may I remind that Bach, German composer, chose a French name for these concertos: « Six concerts à plusieurs instruments », so why the Germans don't use it?! Same thing with Telemann's »Grillensymphonie«: « Concert à 9 parties ». Timeo Germanos et discos ferentes … Of course, Anglos-saxons in that case follow obediently their germanic “cousins”.
