Joshua Bergmann is a Southern California local who's musical passions have been nurtured and developed in the artsy town of Ojai. On the never-ending journey of musicianship Joshua has seen many different aspects of the music world and has taken bit of everything to a unique and eclectic mix of styles, which can be heard in the self titled EP "Joshua Bergmann."

The Rose Valley Thorns is a project combining Joshua Bergmann's talents with his amazing collaborators' to focus on the genres of traditional bluegrass and old-time. With Jared Bergmann on guitar, Corey Highberg on upright bass, and perhaps an extra collaborator here and there, The Rose Valley Thorns bring traditional techniques and repertoire together with their modern musicianship for a wonderful flavor of a classic style.
