Now an extremely rare release, this collectible recording of Verdi's Macbeth features Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau in the title role and the remarkable Elena Souliotis towards the end of her career as Lady Macbeth. Of even greater interest is the early appearance of Luciano Pavarotti as Macduff, one of Verdi's brief lead tenor roles.
