Composed during his time at the court of Frederick the Great in Berlin, Bach's sonatas provided the court gamba player with ample opportunities to display both virtuosity and sensitivity. Johanna Rose is a German viola da gamba player living in Seville, Spain. She is a member of the group Accademia del Piacere and has played with such esteemed ensembles as La Venexiana, La Grande Chapelle, La Orchesta Barroca de Sevilla, Música Prima, performing in major concert venues all over Europe, South America, EU and Japan.
Javier Núñez, a native of Seville, studied with Davitt Moroney and is professor of keyboard at the Conservatory in Majorca.
