Tommy Moustache & Sheep got Waxed - Tommy Got Waxed (Live) (2019)

The admiration was mutual when the paths of Tommy Mustache and Sheep Got Waxed crossed at a Danish festival. Shortly thereafter, these eccentric and unpredictable bands decided to band together on stage. The result is an explosive and highly flammable combination of two drummers, two guitarists, two saxophonists, a bassist and a giant push electronics.

Critics described the music of the Rotterdam band Tommy Mustache as a driving, slightly schizophrenic and extremely confusing alternative Zap jazz. Sheep Got Waxed's Latvians evoked similarly unique descriptions, including "a mix of techno, skill, Death Grips-like trap, and George Michael played by the early Beatles." But the music also has influences of free jazz and metal, so the band members, who shy no complexity, but avoid unnecessary show of virtuosity.
