Robert Cray (born August 1, 1953, Columbus, Georgia, United States) is an American blues guitarist and singer. A five-time Grammy Award winner, he has led his own band, as well as an acclaimed solo career.
The Grammy Award-winning godfather of the ’80s blues revival (which ultimately led to U2's 'Rattle and Hum', although we'll forgive him that) returns to the UK to play classic songs and tracks from his 2014 album 'In My Soul'. Cray is one the genre's most respected guitarists, although nowadays he deals in a more stripped-down sound than the brassy tuneage he used to be known for. Live, he's an arresting performer and marvellous band leader, so this is one you won't want to miss. Support comes from Shawn Jones.
