Return to the chanson: Papillon is the fourteenth studio album and Fabian's tenth French album. The album is planned to be released on February 8, 2019. The first single from the album, "Papillon".

One of the most successful singers to have taken part in the Eurovision Song Contest has released a new single. With her latest effort “Papillon”, Lara Fabian returns to French music – something she knows best.

Lara Fabian, now 48 years of age, is making a return to French music. Her last album, released in October 2017, was in English entirely. The album was the starting point for a more experimental style Fabian was about to try.

The leading single of the previous album, “Growing Wings”, fits in with her latest song. “Papillon” also aims for the mystery side of the Belgian singer, which lets her vocal abilities shine through.

Both for her last album as for the new one, Lara Fabian has teamed up with familiar names. Moh Denebi and Sharon Vaughn are, together with the singer herself, responsible for the entire Camouflage album, as well as “Papillon”.

Denebi and Vaughn are no strangers to the (Eurovision) music scene. Denebi has been credited as a producer for artists like Molly Sandén, Måns Zelmerlöw and Loreen. Sharon Vaughn on the other hand has had quite a few Melodifestivalen entries. Back in 2012, Jedward sang her song Waterline

Lara Fabian is the most successful female Belgian artist of all time. She has sold over 20 million records since the start of her career, back in the 1980s. Born in a family with a Belgian father and a Sicilian mother, the singer was invited to represent Luxembourg at the Eurovision Song Contest 1988. Her song “Croire” finished in fourth place at the contest famously won by Céline Dion.
