Chet Baker Plays the Best of Lerner and Loewe is an album by trumpeter Chet Baker featuring show tunes by Lerner and Loewe which was recorded in 1959 and released on the Riverside label.
Allmusic awarded the album with 3 stars stating "these readings are comparatively understated. That said, the timelessness of the melodies, coupled with the assembled backing aggregate, make Chet Baker Plays the Best of Lerner and Loewe (1959) a memorable concept album".

So frustrating that these companies like RevOla are dumping fake hi-rez transfers (from god knows what source) on the market, reducing the chance that we will see a legit transfer from the masters from the parent company.

Things to look for:
1) manufactured or distributed from an EU country

2)no original label logo despite original artwork (they're getting sneakier...used to be labels like Lonehill, Gambit, Fresh Sound had different artwork, and different compilations so that you could tell they were PD rips....at least THEY were honest about it.

3)there are no hi-rez releases from the parent/owning company. This means they are doing up-rezzed fakes from existing digital (and companies like DOL, DOXY, Jazz Wax and Wax Time actually press LPs taken from 16bit cd ripoffs) OR analog LP transfers. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the latter IF they are upfront about it. RevOla is NOT upfront, and counts on the recognition of original artwork to cover up the unauthorized nature of their issues. Is it against the law? No, not in the EU. But we shouldn't support or accept deception and inferior product.

Don't take this at all personally, please, but IF you are paying for the original files.....IMHO you are wasting your money....spend it by supporting the companies doing honest work.

@pianoduder : totally agree... i had bought unfortunatly 2 Laura Nyro's albums from Revola that i have to buy again from Columbia, the original label...the photos were also a pityful copy (many grains) from originals !!so this album can't be Hi-Res but a copy from the original cd...but everybody has to do as he likes..
