I adore Mozart's flute quartets but I haven't yet found an excellent performance on period instruments.
This is not bad but ...

Definitely not. The playback is way too slow, reproducing all takes maybe one whole tone lower than they must have been recorded - at least if the Kuijken Quartet can read music and tune their instruments.
Maybe esoteric, but not the original master sound.

I measured it by means of Adobe Audition. The reproduction on this disc is a haltone lower than it should be, or rather than a performance with correctly tuned instuments would be.
