BIOGRAPHY
Briana Di Mara has been playing violin since age 6. She was trained in classical music and has since gone on to study a variety of traditional styles including Celtic, Greek, Turkish, Persian, Afghan and Arabic. She has been influenced by master musicians from all corners of the world, which she harmoniously weaves into her own unique style on the violin.
She has performed and recorded with numerous artists, some of whom include Stellamara, Ali Paris Project, Beats Antique, Moh Alileche, Aywah, and Sweet Moments of Confusion. These projects have led her to perform in a wide variety of musical venues, theaters and festivals around the globe, captivating and inspiring audiences with her eclectic style and expansive interpretation of world music.
Her debut album, "Haven", has already earned rave reviews and reflects the amazing music community that she has built around her original compositions.

Violinist and composer Briana Di Mara, along with stellar guest artists, bring to us a musical "Haven". The title is a personal testament to her relationship with music as a healing comfort in times of struggle, as well as a reflection of her many years studying a wide variety of world music genres. Featured are unique instruments such as Arabic qanun, Persian santur, Indian tabla, saraz handpans, kalimba, and ngoni, as well as bass, guitar and percussion. Briana also makes use of a 5 string violin to create harmonic string layers. Each track offers a different feeling and experience.
