Ash Koosha - Return 0 (2018)

In the past few years, Ash Koosha has been at the forefront of many innovative projects: He realised the first fully immersive VR music album where he made sound and object inseparable and indistinguishable. He crossed physical borders by performing live in VR to an audience in the US when he was refused an entry. He created music that was alien, material and yet grounded in timeless classic aesthetics. Yet one of the most interesting aspects of Koosha’s creations were the story they tell. Stories deeply personal and yet universal: the relationship of man to himself, to the idea of himself, to machine, to future, to information. Now he is back with his most important story to date. One that took him 15 years of trial and error to finally get out. Return 0 is a 13 track journey of digital creation and not in its ordinary sense that we’ve come to know so far. Return 0 is more like a confession, admission and homage to the computer that is not merely a tool but a collaborator. Through Return 0, we get to experience how human life is more algorithm dependant than ever.
