Jay Bragg is part of the next generation of traditional country artists and songwriters. His music is authentically country - always centered on the roots of the genre. However, his delivery and performance style is rock ’n’ roll to the core. Using fiddles, steel guitars, his powerful baritone and his trademark on stage dancing and showmanship all in a pair of tight fitting Wrangler jeans, Bragg works his audience into a frenzy in celebration of all things good about Nashville and country music.
Born of a musical family, Bragg has been a disciple of roots and country music since his first concert at age 6 where he played “Turkey in the Straw” on the fiddle at a grade school recital. From there he was hooked on the musician’s life, entertaining and writing songs.
Bragg spent the better part of a decade based out of Maine, fronting the band North of Nashville that went on to open for acts such as Chris Stapleton, Dierks Bentley, Brothers Osborne and Gary Allan and winning New England Music Awards “Country Act Of The Year” in 2015 prior to him moving to Nashville to pursue a solo career.
“Honky Tonk Dream” was was produced by Nick Worley (son of famed Nashville producer Paul Worley) and features some of the best studio musicians in Nashville including JT Corenflos, Biff Watson and Tammy Rogers.
