Deadbeat - Walls & Dimensions I EP (2015)

Scott Monteith: Montreal legend and modern dub techno auteur returns on his own BLKRTZ imprint for some more low frequency therapy. These revised versions are taken from his recent album Walls & Dimensions. On the A side is an extended mix of "I Get Low" which is all about the bass but it certainly gets its groove on in a funky fashion, complete with buzzy, sublime synth stabs and the soulful wailing of Monteith himself. On the flip is the instrumental version of "Rage Against the Light" with its persisting dub delay working against dreamy organ notes, and equally as deep.
