Novastar - Inside Outside (2014)

Quality takes time. In the case of Joost Zweegers (Novastar) that would amount to exactly six years, or: the time Joost needed to work on the successor to the acclaimed ‘Almost Bangor’ (from ’08). His long-awaited fourth album will be released in March and has received the title ‘Inside Outside’. He got hold of a formidable producer for it: Britain's John Leckie, he who set the dials right for the likes of ‘The Bends’ (Radiohead), The Stone Roses' self-titled debut, and also ‘Showbiz’ & ‘Origin of Symmetry’ by Muse.

But, above all, Joost found a musical soulmate in John Leckie, someone with whom he could share his love of British pop and songs with grand refrains but modest emotions. The result was ‘Inside Outside’: an impassioned album that exudes an almost sultry vibe.

It's already from ’98 (!) ago that Novastar debuted in the AB Club and in the meantime he's sold out ten or so Main Hall shows.
